This project came into existence due to my intrigue in alternative education. Though I am in college, I view my traditional schooling as only an avenue of learning, but I do not believe learning needs to come from a classroom. Education is not accessible to everyone and there are barriers in place that obstruct people from obtaining a traditional education. Brundage is a prime example of learning through living as his own experiences shaped the way he viewed his education.
His blue collar background and commitment to the radical movement defined an alternate, radical education. Looking back at the history of the College of Complexes offers a new perspective on what education is and can be looked back on as a new route for learning outside the classrooms.
